What I Provide
Each person's approach to therapy is different, and over the years I have found that my style has developed 3 core pillars to treatment.
Client Centered
Though it may not feel like it at times, ultimately each person knows how to best live their life. The only expert on knowing yourself is yourself. It is my job to help guide you to finding that knowledge, and once you do to help apply it in your day to day life.
Values Driven
Values are the deeply held beliefs our conscious and unconscious mind use to evaluate the world we live in and our place in it. Many times our psychological ailments come from a clash between our values and our actions. I will help you to identify these values and live more in line with them.
Concrete Change
You should be walking out of every session not only with a sense of accomplishment and reassurance, but also with well defined steps to take in your life between sessions. I will help you to develop clear goals to work towards, and provide you the tools to progress towards your best life.
ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
In my early twenties I had no idea what I wanted to do for a career. I tried biochemistry, history, even computer science but something always held me back. So, unsure of where I belonged, I joined the Army. It was there that I was introduced to the work of mental health. Seeing how transformative it was for other soldiers, I pursued a Masters of Social Work degree from Fordham University. I graduated with a near perfect GPA, something that would have been impossible for me just 5 years prior. Now, I want to help others gain the benefits of therapy that so helped me.
